AFRIKAN DELIGHTS BRINGS AUTHENTIC WEST AFRICAN CUISINE TO MOTHER ROAD MARKET
Grand opening Saturday, July 12
Tulsa, Okla. | July 10, 2025 - Afrikan Delights, a popular local food truck, is expanding their food business to open Tulsa’s first fast-casual West African restaurant inside three-time award winning best food hall, Mother Road Market.
Fifame and Yannick Alahassa, graduates of the Kitchen 66 Spring 2024 Launch Program, are passionate about bringing authentic west afrikan cuisine to Tulsa. Fifame describes their menu as a fusion of traditional flavors and modern creativity.
“When someone comes to Afrikan Delights, we want them to join us on a culinary adventure that blends centuries-old recipes with contemporary flavors,” said Fifame Alahassa. “Our menu is a combination of bold spices and flavors yet has the satisfaction of comfort food.”
The menu features motherland specials such as Fufu (Egusi, Peanut Soup, and Okra) and Sukuma Wiki Ugali. Each dish can be customized with proteins like beef, chicken, goat, oxtails or fish.
“We’re excited Afrikan Delights is opening at Mother Road Market,” said Katy Hall, chief communications officer. “From Kitchen 66 Launch Program participant, to pop up favorite, Fifama and Yannick represent the new spirit of Route 66 entrepreneurship by sharing bold, vibrant flavors and the warmth of African hospitality in a space where culture and community come together.”
Customers can support Afrikan Delights Tuesday-Sunday, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m inside Mother Road Market. For more information, follow Afrikan Delights on Instagram and Facebook.
